Rebuilding A Forest

Project overview

This project involves the design and execution of a tree berm for safety and privacy. The site is located on a rural country road and the goal of the project is to create a barrier and structure that is both functional and beautiful.

Details

My contributions were instrumental in developing and executing the first phase of the clients' long-term landscape vision, focusing on restoring a natural woodland setting and enhancing privacy throughout the property. I worked closely with the clients to develop multiple design concepts, ultimately creating a comprehensive planting plan featuring 26 trees. I oversaw all aspects of project coordination, including collaboration with the excavation contractor, management of the installation team, and supervision of crew members to ensure the successful execution of the design.

Results

The first phase of this project was successfully completed, establishing the foundation for the client's long-term vision. Due to water accessibility challenges, I worked closely with the clients to develop a phased approach that would accommodate their needs and budget. The initial phase focused on constructing a tree berm to provide privacy and create a natural landscape buffer. Through careful planning and coordination with Wharff Excavation, we successfully brought the first stage of the clients' dream landscape to life.
